About Us

Indiesites was originally written as a way to allow all the members of my band to edit the content of our website. Another band was added shortly after, which potentially allowed unlimited numbers of bands to use the system.

Version two of Indiesites saw loads more functionality added, such as streaming video, and a much more user friendly interface.

It was our intention to offer this software as a way for unsigned bands to get a decent web presence without the usual costs involved, but we do have bills to pay (hosting, bandwidth etc) so we decided to charge a small amount for the services that cost us the most.

The free version gives you a basic website with all the functionality you need to get started. The premium version costs a small amount each month, which pays for the hosting and the more cost intensive tasks such as streaming video and storing large amounts of data. We don't run indiesites as a profit making venture (it's all done in spare time), but we hope it will help unsigned bands and artists get a decent web presence to help their musical careers.
